You open your eyes and awake to an ominous, computerized voice “You’re back again? EXCELLENT!” It sounds taunting, almost evil.
You think to yourself “again?” Have you been here before? Only pieces of your surroundings look familiar … and the last several hours feel like a blur. You’ve been playing video games non-stop for days with your gamer team because you plan to enter the $100,000 retro-gaming tournament coming up next weekend. It’s all – “Eat. Sleep. Game. Repeat.” until then.
Or more like Eat. Sleep. Game. Repeat. Game. Repeat. Game. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. You’ve lost your sense of reality. You ARE your video game character. And you are IN THE GAME.
The computerized voice continues, “This level restarts every 60 minutes … so you better hurry!”
These words give you panic. The thought of being trapped in a video game makes you anxious and excited at the same time. You don’t have time to figure out if your fellow players are avatars or human, all you know is you need to beat this level.
It’s time to level up and see if you can conquer the BOSS LEVEL in 60 minutes or less! You don’t want to be stuck on Repeat …
